Ed was born November 24,1951 in Cleveland, Ohio - The Rock and Roll Capital of the World. He discovered music at an early age at St. Mel's Grade School where the Sisters Of Charity instructed him in many disciplines including how to read music and how to sing. While attending school there, he also studied how to play the accordion under the tutelage of Ed DiFiore who taught him many techniques associated with being a good musician including sight reading and improvisation - both of which would serve him well for the musical adventures on his horizon.

While attending St. Ignatius High School, he learned how to play the bass and electric guitar and played in his first bands while maintaining a rigorous academic schedule which included the study of many sciences and languages including Latin and French. He also played clarinet in the Marching Band and Concert Band, and sang in the Glee Club before graduating in 1969.

Ed enrolled at The University Of Dayton in southern Ohio as a Music Education Major that Fall where he studied voice and piano along with honing his skills as an acoustic guitarist and songwriter. He returned home his junior year and continued his music studies at Cleveland State University before embarking on a full-time career in music. While a student at CSU, he sang and played guitar in the band S.R.O. with his brother Greg and schoolmate George Sipl at a host of concert halls and clubs including the now legendary Cleveland Agora.

During the Eighties, Ed sang and played in many northern Ohio bands while continuing to study the craft of songwriting. It was also during this time that he made his mark as a first call session guitarist on many music projects; including an extensive array of radio and television advertising jingles, many of which still air to this day.

In the years that followed, Ed continued to front and play in many more bands while developing his original music style which is a unique blend of Rock, Country, Jazz and Blues. In 1996 he released his first solo CD "Beautiful Things" featuring 14 compositions by Ed as the songwriter. These days, Ed can still be found performing live all around northern Ohio with The GeezeCats, and as a guest musician with many Cleveland bands. Ed is currently at work on his second solo CD "Edward Anton", which will become available soon.

When he's not otherwise occupied; Ed loves to spend his down time composing new music, refurbishing vintage Apple Macintosh computers, studying the art of web site design, and hanging out with his wife Diane and children Jonathan and Jessica.
